Two Porch Pirates arrested

Grady County Sherrif’s Office working with several other departments have arrested a pair of what they cost “porch pirates.” The suspects would watch for a deliver service, such as UPS or FedEx, to deliver to an unoccupied house and steal the packages. The pair had operated in several counties and had stolen from more than a dozen victims.

The stolen items included, phones, bank cards, clothes, cat carriers, and government checks. The suspects would also change the name of the government checks and cash them. This has led to fraud charges against the pair.

Officials say that one of the pair was significantly harder to catch but was caught in the end by the Moore Police Department. Grady County Undersheriff Gary Boggess has also suggested that people expecting packages should either ask a neighbor to keep an eye out or invest into a security camera. This will help police apprehend the thieves and return the stolen goods.
