Judge Amy Palumbo allows youth murder suspect moved from Oklahoma County Detention Center

Tommy Adler, the lawyer for a 16 year-old arrested over a count of first degree murder, requested his client be moved siting the conditions of the jail. It also recommended all juvenile offenders be removed from the jail.

The county argued that the recommendation was not meant to include those accused of first degree murder but Judge Palumbo sided with the youth’s council and ordered the juvenile moved.

According to the The Oklahoma County Jail Trust, there already was a plan to move all of the juveniles out of the facility, including roughly a dozen others which are also first degree murder suspects. There has been no timeline for when the juveniles will be moved or where they will be sent to.
