Jacob Varnell arrested for murder
White County Sheriff’s Department was called to a Bald Knob home on a report of a stabbing. Entering the home, they found William Varnell, 63, suffering multiple stab wounds and his wife Pamela Varnell, 65, dead, also from stab wounds. William was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The investigation found that their son, Jacob Varnell, 24, was responsible. He was arrested at his home on Highway 258 outside of Bald Knob. Jacob is being charged with capital murder in additional to attempted capital murder.
