Daniel Robert Adams charged with murder after fatal crash
Phillip Patrick Laurie, 30, was driving with an unnamed woman when they realized that Adams, 36, was chasing them with his own vehicle. The woman with him called police about the man chasing them and said he deliberately drove into her vehicle. Police arrived on the scene of the crash and found the woman injured and Laurie dead.
The caller was taken to a trauma center while Adams, still at the scene, was arrested and booked into the Baxter County Jail. He was transferred to the Boone County Detention Center after it came to light that Laurie’s mother works at the Baxter facility.
Adams is being charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, and four counts of aggravated assault. His bond has been set at $500,000 and he is due to appear in court later this month.
