Aaron Gregory Samplawski convicted ordering meth

Samplawski, 38, was investigated after he ordered a parcel of methamphetamine though the U.S. Postal Service. Detectives contacted the U.S.P.S. and the parcel was intercepted at the Prairie Grove Postal Office. A police dog from Springdale was used and identified the package. One pound of methamphetamine was found inside.

A controlled delivery of the package was used to send the parcel to Samplawski. After he took possession of the parcel, a warrant was executed to search his residence. Among methamphetamine, two loaded handguns, drug paraphernalia, and counterfeit money was recovered.

Samplawski posted bond but was arrested a second time after the drug task force conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from him. Samplawski plead guilty, and was sentenced to nine years in federal prison and a fine of $10,000. The prison term will be followed by three years of supervised release.
