Jackson Rodriguez-Robles sentenced after holding woman captive

Rodriguez-Robles, 38, was arrested in 2018 after police were told that he was holding a woman captive in his apartment. The police found Rodriguez-Robles’s wife severely beaten with eyes swollen shut and her lips so swollen that she could barely speak. Her fingers also were bent and broken. The woman claimed Rodriguez-Robles picked her up from the airport and accused her of cheating on him. He also punched her in the stomach despite knowing she was pregnant.

She also told police that he hit her with multiple objects and would periodically stop and give her pain medication before continuing. Rodriguez-Robles’s phone found to have video evidence of the assaults. The total time Rodriguez-Robles held his wife captive was four days.

Rodriguez-Robles plead guilty to kidnapping, possession of drugs and a firearm, domestic battery, terroristic threatening, aggravated assault on a family or household member, drug possession with intent to deliver, delivery of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of an emergency communication device in exchange for dismissal of the charges of rape and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Judge Mark Lindsay sentenced Rodriguez-Robles to multiple prison sentenced for the charges to be served with a sentence of 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for the charges of possession of drugs and a firearm.
