Isaiah Thompson pleads guilty of sexual assault
Isaiah James Thompson, a former member of the Christ of the World Church, was arrested in November on two charges of rape of a minor. Another worker at the church is also accused of sexual activity with a minor at the church but investigators found no evidence. Furthermore, evidence came to light that the worker was a victim of Thompson.
When Thompson was 17, he is currently 37, and the victim was 7, Thompson began sexual activities with his victim. These activities ended in 2018. The man also was able to tell police of another victim, who was found incarcerated in Texas.
According the county prosecuting attorney, Thomspon was sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections with an additional 10 years suspended sentence. He is also forbidden from contacting his victims and must register as a sex offender.
